TRUE CHANGE

2 Cor 5:17

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

The cry of our generation, and of the country right now, is CHANGE. But the truth is CHANGE does not start with a presidential switch, but it comes from within OUR selves with our inner man. Some people think if our government changes than everything will be OK, but the TRUTH is that unless we are willing to change ourselves this world will become even worse!!

The BIBLE declares in 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

It all starts with us, CHANGE is turning from what is destroying our lives, to the only One that can help us. We need to REPENT, which means to turn from our selfish ways, and to trust in a GOD that has mercy for his people…….Someone has said : “Repentance is a long journey from a far country into our Fathers arms". The word CHANGE in the New Webster’s dictionary says: To cause to turn from one state to another ……

I challenge this Generation to Repent, the Christian to Rise UP and the Backslider to RETURN home, WE NEED CHANGE, CHANGE IN OUR HEARTS …………..

There is much truth found in these simple words spoken by our brother Eddie. The change people desire is quick change, make everything better now type of change you know wave the magical wand and make all troubles and struggles disappear change. That's Barack Obama's promise right, change for the now. But i dare say as we keep getting closer to his finalization in stepping into the white house were going to hear a lot of excuses on how and why things will keep getting worse. You want to know why? Because the change people want is a change that will not affect the the way they have to live, a change that is convenient and comfortable, change the circumstance but not the individual. The problems do not rest in politics, this thing or that, this person or that person the problems rest within us. A wise man once said "Who you are will be wherever you are." Basically meaning you can go here and there but you will always run into the same problems, because wherever you go you are there. And just like our new President we make excuse for our lives, and where we are at in life. BUT THANKS BE TO GOD AND OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST who didn't die for theology or religion who didn't die to make us just appear to be better. But as the Scripture says that Eddie used HE died so that we completely become new, a new creation. Note it didn't say perfect but we are becoming new, a work in progress. SO allow God to continue to change you from the inside and do not get discouraged and run. No allow God to finish his work in you

PAST IS THE PAST AND NO LONGER YOUR FUTURE

Heb 10:16-17

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

The joy one has when they get saved is the joy of knowing they have been forgiven. The weight of sin being lifted off our shoulders, our minds. "God you can forgive me, me" was my cry, and HE did. Oh what love. What grace, that he would give to us what we do not deserve. But the danger is that we don't fully receive that forgiveness and we think that were either unworthy or we want to feel some kind of consequence, so we beat ourselves up mentally thinking that will justify us and make it all better, but that's a lie from hell. Can you add on to what Jesus did for you on the cross. My bible says that Jesus said "ITS FINISHED" meaning its done, that's it. HE TOOK THE FULL PENALTY FOR OUR SIN. When we constantly think and re-live our past failures it begins to direct the future that God has for us. Listen the All Powerful the ALL KNOWING GOD we serve who knows all things says that HE will remember our sins our past no more and that's what he means . HE will willing forget, the devil will try to remind us "See look at you who do you think that you are". But that's the devil the father of lies. Believe God at His word it will help you. God has a powerful plan that He has made just for you, SO DROP THE DEAD WEIGHT OF YOUR PAST LIFE AND GO FORWARD TO ALL THE THINGS GOD HAS PLANNED FOR YOU.
